'It's a grand night for singing ...'
That's what you will be humming after seeing ShowTime's fall production, Some Enchanted Evening: The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The show, which runs Monday, Nov. 12, to Saturday, Nov. 17, will feature some of PebbleCreek's most talented singers and includes seven performers who are new to the Renaissance Theater stage.
Tickets for Some Enchanted Evening go on sale in two weeks on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 8 a.m. in the Renaissance Theater. After that, they will be available every Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, in the theater lobby. If you are out of town or prefer not going to the theater, you can purchase them online by going to the PebbleCreek HOA website -- Click on 'Things to Do', then scroll down to 'Ticket Sales'. All tickets are $16.50 (this includes the service fee). VISA and Mastercard are accepted.
Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein were probably the greatest musical theater partnership during Broadway's 'Golden Age' during the 1940's and 50's. Together, they wrote 11 musicals and many of them are still performed regularly, such as Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music. More than 30 songs of your favorite songs from these award-winning shows will be featured in ShowTime's production. So mark your calendar because you know this will be 'Something Wonderful'.
